Field and Amenity Updates:

The outfield was over-seeded mid-September and has been mowed several times. It will need another 8 -10 days to fill-in completely.

Once the field has been turned over to us for practice, the Board will update the members.

The interior of the Announcers Booth will be complete by next week. Yay for Bill!!!

The field is looking Great - this was taken yesterday, October 16th, 2016 - Thank you Barb!

Softball schedule outline:

There will be "NO" softball at Palm Creek November, 4th thru November 13th, 2016 during the National Pickleball Tournament.

Fall Softball will kick-off with a pre-season double-headers on November 8th & 10th at Robson Ranch.

The official Fall Season will begin at Palm Creek on Tuesday, November 15th, and run through December, 15th.  We will once again have eight teams for Fall League!

2017 Winter Softball Season will begin Thursday, January, 5th and run through March 17th, with breaks for the Palm Creek In-house Pickleball Tournament, (February 6th to 8th), and the Bullhead City Softball Tournament, in March of 2017. This new Winter League Schedule will eliminate the need for the March Madness Spring league!

Palm Creek Vipers 2015/2016 Tournament Results, way to go Boys! :)

The Palm Creek Vipers just completed their tournament season last weekend with a tournament in Robson Ranch.  The team played in five tournaments this year and had a very successful year representing the Palm Creek Golf and RV Resort.

• December – Robson Ranch – 4 wins, 0 losses,  First Place
• January – VDO – 3 wins, 1 loss,  First Place
• January – Palm Creek – 4 wins, 1 loss,  Second Place
• February – Monte Vista – 3 wins, 1 loss,  Second Place
• March – Robson Ranch – 3 wins, 1 loss,  First Place

Total record for the team was 17 wins - 4 losses, (three of the losses were by only 1 run).  

The team averaged over 16 runs per game on offense and defensively only allowed 8.

Our Winter League is winding down, with Playoffs set to start the week of February 22nd, 2016, how time Flies!

If you are interested in playing March League Softball, and are not currently on a league team, please contact Deb Morrison, Director at Large for our Softball Club.

If you have an interest in Playing softball in March, she's your gal!  Deb is in the process of planning the March teams and will need to know of your interest by February 15th!  

If you have not filled out a Softball Signup sheet, you can get one in the activities office or you can pick one up from Deb, either at her home, (Lot 31), or at Recreational softball.  

Recreational softball is scheduled for 9:00, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week barring any scheduling conflicts with tournaments etc.  

Please call Deb if you have any questions at all, or come see her at the softball field, where you will find her most mornings, just ask any of the Softball players and they will point her out to you!

Mixed Team from Palm Creek goes to Valle Del Oro in Mesa on the Weekend!!

Some Palm Creek Softball players came together to form a mixed team that played in a Men's tournament in Mesa this past weekend.

The team had a great time and won 3 of the 4 games they played!

Thanks for playing everyone, it was a LOT of fun!!!

Missing from the Photo Above were Lori, who played Friday, and hit like a "Rock Star", but was sick on Sunday, and Harry who was our number 1 fan on Friday!

For any ladies interested in playing a little softball I would be willing to meet with you at 1:00 pm on Monday afternoons at the ball field.

What I propose is that we meet and work on some fundamentals to see just what we women can do.  I am convinced that there are ladies in this park with lots of ball skills but sometimes we don't want to practice or play with the men.  That is understandable and this is an opportunity to come out on your own just to have a little fun.  I have spoken with some who say this is what they would like to do. 

I would like to start on January 18.  There will be times when the league teams will be playing on Mondays and we will have to work around that, but I am sure we can work that out as it will only be if they have rained out games to make up.  Otherwise we will be good to go. 

If you would give me a call or text so that I have an idea of interest, I would appreciate that.  If you would like to stop by to speak with me I live at # 31.
